In the Pursuit of Frame
This series grew from my fascination with the idea of a frame within a frame. I began experimenting with this concept during my travels through Isfahan and Gilan in Iran, and later in Istanbul, Turkey. Each place offered its own rhythm and geometry, its own invitation to look deeper into how space contains meaning.
At first, I used the technique to see familiar landmarks from new perspectives, searching for a way to reimagine what had already been seen countless times. But as I continued, the frame within a frame began to feel more personal. It became a way to create intimacy, to draw the viewer into moments that felt almost private, as if catching sight of a scene not meant to be witnessed.
Through these layered compositions, I tried to capture multiple realities at once, actions unfolding simultaneously, stories intersecting, moments echoing within one another. Each image became an invitation to look again, to question what is inside and what remains just beyond the edge.
